Edan monitors come with adult cuffs, so taking a child’s blood pressure calls for a smaller one. The E7 is Edan’s reusable child cuff, sized for a limb circumference of 16 to 21.5 cm. Cuff size affects the accuracy of a blood pressure reading, so measure the upper arm first and choose the cuff whose range fits it.
The E7 is part of Edan’s E-series cuff family and connects to the NIBP hose already on your monitor, with no adapter needed. Edan’s accessory lists include it for the iM3, iM60-GT, iM70-GT, X10 and X12. It is a practical addition for pediatric sedation dentistry and any office that monitors children.
