The E8 is Edan’s reusable small adult cuff, for upper arms from 20.5 to 28 cm around. That range sits between Edan’s E7 child cuff (16–21.5 cm) and its E9 adult cuff (27–35 cm), which makes it the right choice for patients whose arms are too large for a child cuff but too slim for a standard adult one.
Keeping a spare E8 on hand means a worn or damaged cuff never takes a monitor out of service in the middle of a patient schedule. Like the rest of the E-series, it attaches directly to the NIBP hose supplied with the monitor. Edan lists the E8 for the iM3, iM60-GT, iM70-GT, X10 and X12.
