Flumazenil Injection, USP is a sterile benzodiazepine receptor antagonist supplied in a 5mL multiple-dose vial. Each vial contains 0.5mg of flumazenil at a concentration of 0.1mg/mL, for intravenous use. Each mL also contains 1.8mg methylparaben and 0.2mg propylparaben as preservatives, with 0.9% sodium chloride, 0.01% edetate disodium and 0.01% acetic acid; pH 3.8 to 4.3. It is used to reverse the sedative effects of benzodiazepines after general anesthesia or procedural sedation, and in the management of benzodiazepine overdose.
Manufactured by Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC, MFG NDC 63323-424-05, and distributed by HealthFirst under NDC 51662-1579-1. Sold as a single vial. Store at controlled room temperature (20-25°C / 68-77°F).
